| Elmira Mutual Insurance Company will soon celebrate one hundred twenty-five years of continuous service to the residents of Stark County and surrounding area. In the past 125 years many changes have been made within the structure of the company, but always with the dedication in mind to better serve their policyholders. |
| In the beginning, the company was chartered as the "Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Elmira" on September 20, 1876. At that time it was a township insurance company and included the townships of Elmira, Goshen, and Toulon in Stark County. |
